If nothing changes, one in two of us will be directly affected by dementia – either by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both.
As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, we’re determined to stop this from becoming a reality. We’re working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. But we will not stop there. With your support, we will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia. We exist for a cure.

Louise you have been the best of neighbours and a lovely friend - always ready with a smile and good thoughts for others. Willow Crescent won't be the same without you - you will be sorely missed and we will always remember you with great love. Mike and Carol

Thank you for being a very special friend and neighbour. I will always remember our happy times together. In the early days, hearing you call across the garden fence, ‘Gin and Tonic darling’? You said that one a day, was the secret to your eternal youth and longevity! I’ll take your advice on that for sure! I loved singing along to your wonderful piano playing and I will miss our conversations about life, family and current affairs. You are a truly special woman and if ever there was a case to call someone ‘a legend’, then you are it my friend. Goodbye and have a safe journey onward. God bless you!
Ms Gayle Teague
Dear Louise, It was a pleasure having you as a friend and neighbour for so many years. Life will not be the same without you. I for one, have lost my part time job as the oldest paper boy in the West! We knew how important your daily newspaper was to you. It has also been an honour and a privilege to have been one of your oldest ‘toy boys’ as you called us, myself and your other close neighbour, Mike! And…Thank you so much for the many bottles of fine wine you gave us to show appreciation (although you didn’t need to). Seriously though, we will miss you so much and thank you for being such a great friend for so long. Cheers to you Louise! With love Tony
Mr Tony Pearce
We will miss you Nanny Lou Lou; you inspired us all xx

So sorry for the loss of your mum. Aunty Louise was a lovely kind lady always beautifully dressed. Really amazing to reach 103.

Louise you have been an aspiring neighbour and friend since we moved to our home in 2001. Loved the neighbourly get togethers for cuppas over those years. You will be greatly missed by us all but certainly not forgotten. RIP Special Lady 💔🌹
