Messages of condolence

Our deepest sympathies . Will be greatly missed in the village. Ann & Barry Atkinson

Mrs Ann Atkinson

I have only just heard the very sad news. I first met Jane when we both went to Uni as mature students. As you can imagine, it was a bit of a shock to the system to be studying again, but Jane threw herself into it with dedication and determination, helping those of us who sometimes found it a little overwhelming. After two years, I was seriously thinking of not completing the course and it was only through her gentle, but firm, encouragement that I continued and got my degree. But that was Jane all over, always thinking of others and how she could help, compassionate and kind always. Never showy, but beneath a rather quiet exterior, we soon found she had a very good sense of humour! I was very lucky to know her and my sincere condolences go to Peter and all her family who I know will be feeling bereft. Frances and Roger Cook

With our deepest sympathy on the sudden loss of a dear wife for Peter and a very much loved cousin of Michael (NZ). Jane was indeed a special cousin as we had great times in our younger days in the Wirral and Eastham hosted by Uncle Marcus and Aunty Joyce. Had it been possible we would love to have been there to share your sorrow Peter. You are always welcome in New Zealand and we will certainly visit you as soon as travel is safe again. We send our love and sincere condolences Mike and Valerie
